atmospeer
in development - aim for october 2026 launch
launching in philadelphia · flutter + supabase
atmospeer is a social app for real-world environmental action — the idea that good karma looks green. the goal is basically to make environmental conservation a social event.
it connects people with local conservation events, rewards them for actually showing up with verified volunteer hours, and grows a real community around doing good.
you find a cleanup or a planting near you, register, and check in with a qr code when you arrive. your hours are locked in from the event itself, you reflect on it afterward, and your friends see the work you did and also pictures you took with your existing friends, or maybe even friends you made at the event!
the thinking
going green
many people view volunteering and effort towards conservation as a burden. if people view this as a social activity, we can come together and bond while going green.
earned, not claimed
every hour comes from real attendance, verified by a qr scan. you can’t game your way to a bigger number.
local first
atmospeer grows city by city, starting in philadelphia with hand-picked partner orgs, so every community it touches is dense enough to feel alive.
what's inside so far
conservation events
discover and register for local environmental events posted by partner organizations — cleanups, plantings, restorations, and more. also send invites to your friends at registration (paired with the messaging feature).
verified hours
hours are earned by showing up. a qr check-in at the event locks them in, calculated from the event itself — never self-reported.
reflections
a feed of post-event reflections from you and your friends.
friends & messaging
follow people, turn mutual follows into friends, and message them directly or in groups — text, photos, gifs, and stickers.
organizations
partner orgs get their own profiles to post events, manage registrations, and check attendees in by scanning their qr code.
event updates
orgs can broadcast important changes — a new time, a moved location — to everyone registered, delivered straight to their messages.
leaderboards
hours-based leaderboards among friends and groups to keep the momentum going.
safety & privacy
public or private accounts, mutual-follow-gated messaging, and blocking + reporting built in from the very start.
